Week of 1/17

This week I continued on the lamp project and made some revisions on the base and light arm. The base is made of stacked laser cut acrylic pieces bolted together with m3 bolts and standoffs. Originally I had a straight arm coming up from the middle but I moved it to the back where it curves over and the new design looks better. The electronics are mounted in the space left inside of the bottom. As for the cloud, I looked at some other cloud lamps and Im going to be putting polyester filling on a wire sheet shaped into a cloud like the picture below. Today i'm going to find and order the wire.

This is the updated design with the arm being mounted at an angle in the back, where it curves into place of where the cloud would be. It is made of 3 3d printed parts and the wires are going to be routed through the arm.

In this picture I hid the top layer to expose inner space Inside where the electronics will be mounted.

This is how I am going to be making the cloud shape. The polyester will be applied to this.

This week I also made a seat belt buckle insert for my car based off of some dimensions I found online. I made this because sometimes when I have stuff on the seat it sets off the weight sensor and it thinks someone is sitting there.
